Multimedia Playback controller
The MP612 incorporates a high performance JPEG CODEC. It can JPEG
decoding at speed as high as 48M-pixel/sec. The MP612 also has an
embedded Hardwired MPEG-1/MPEG-4 decoder which performs
MPEG-1/MPEG-4 decoding up to 30 frame/second at VGA (640x480)
resolution up to Advance Simple Profile Level 5. For audio, the
MP612 performs various audio processing to provide rich audio
features, such as MP3 decoding, AAC decoding , MPEG-1 Layer I,II
decoding by hardwired and AMR decoding/recording by software.
Storage interfaces are incorporated in the MP612 to connect to
storage devices, such as Compact Flash Card, Smart Media Card,
Memory Stick Card, Memory Stick Pro Card, SD Card, MMC 4.0/3.2 ,
xD-Picture Card 1.0/1.1,Micro Drive, as well as Hard Disk Drives
(Support Ultra-DMA66/PIO modes). The MP612 support both USB2.0
device and 1.1 host controller.
